Alumni Whisky is proud to reveal the first-ever University of Houston-licensed Scotch whisky. This inaugural release is a striking expression of the Cougar legacy, tradition and craft. Featuring Houston red, the university’s founding year of 1927, and your alma mater lyrics “True We’ll Ever Be,” this is more than a bottle. It is a celebration of where it all began.

Born out of a centuries-old distillery, inside the bottle you will find an exceptional 13-Year-Old Linkwood Single Malt Scotch Whisky known for its elegance and depth. Presented at 40% ABV in a 700ml bottle, this whisky reflects the university's legacy, revealing itself with a quiet confidence and an undeniable approachability.

Linkwood Distillery, nestled in the heart of Speyside, is renowned for its commitment to quality and tradition, dating back to its founding in 1821. Houston Highball

A refreshing and zesty highball that elevates the floral and fruity notes of Linkwood 13-Year-Old with ginger spice and citrus brightness.

Ingredients
50ml Linkwood 13-Year-Old
150ml ginger ale
10ml fresh lime juice
Lime wedge (garnish)

Method
Fill a highball glass with ice, pour in the Linkwood 13-Year-Old and lime juice, top with ginger ale, stir gently, and garnish with a lime wedge.

Shasta Sour

A silky take on the whisky sour, where Linkwood’s orchard fruit and honey notes are amplified with citrus and sweetness.

Ingredients
50ml Linkwood 13-Year-Old
25ml fresh lemon juice
15ml agave syrup
2dsh aromatic bitters
Aquafaba/ egg white
Orange twist (garnish)

Method
Add whisky, lemon, agave syrup and aquafaba/ egg white to a cocktail tin, fill with ice and shake. Fine strain over ice into a rocks glass. Garnish with an orange twist and 2dsh of bitters.
