Our story starts here...
What began as an Arkansas Razorback’s study abroad opportunity in the Scotch whisky industry led to an unexpected love match with a University of Houston golfer from Scotland. Many years later, a simple question was asked: what if American alumni could celebrate their school pride with their very own Scotch whisky? The two worlds have so much in common, so what if we could bring them together? Thus, an idea began to germinate and Alumni Whisky was born.
What followed was a five-year journey of building a team with deep collegiate ties in the United States and whisky expertise from Scotland. Little by little, the idea transformed into reality. Made for celebrating friendship, tradition, and history, Alumni Whisky is now available across Texas and online. A portion of each sale flows back to the university, so this is a chance to do some good while drinking something good. This is your legacy, your whisky – let’s bring the world together one sip at a time.

Doug Ross
Doug is celebrating his 40th year in the Scotch whisky industry. After resurrecting Tullibardine Distillery, he now serves on the board of several companies in the Scotch whisky industry.
Andrew Morrison
Andrew has over 20 years of experience and comes from the esteemed Morrison family (Bowmore, Glen Garioch, and Auchentoshan). Presently, he serves as Managing Director of The Clydeside Distillery.
Calum Leslie
A native of Edinburgh, Calum brings Alumni Whisky to life by drawing on his time at University of Texas and his previous experience at new brands and Head of Innovation at Loch Lomond Group.
James Ross
James left his hometown of Edinburgh, Scotland to play college golf in the U.S. As a child, he spent plenty of time at Tullibardine Distillery and he is sharing his passion for Scotch through Alumni Whisky.
Jonathan Dismuke
From playing to coaching, Jonathan has 20 years of experience in college athletics and is now Head Golf Coach for University of Houston, offering a deep understanding of university systems.
Meghan Ross
During Meghan’s college internship at Tullibardine Distillery she met Doug, who introduced his son James. After graduating, they settled in Houston where she worked at a distributor before joining Alumni Whisky.
